Who we are
Strategically Lean Academy, trading as Moments of Scotland (“we”, “us”) runs momentsofscotland.com and bowerbirdprints.com (Bower Bird Prints), and the Moments of Scotland gallery at the Trinity Centre, 155 Union Street, Aberdeen AB11 6BE. We are the controller of the personal data described here. [Company number and registered address to be added.]
What we collect, and why
When you buy a print or a gift card we collect your name, email address and delivery address, plus anything you write in the optional gift note. We use them to take payment, have your print made and delivered, send you your gift card code or tracking link, and deal with any problem with your order. The legal basis is performing our contract with you.
We never see or store your card details: payment happens on Stripe's own secure page. We keep order records for six years because UK tax law requires it.
If you send a commission enquiry or contact us by email or Instagram, we keep that correspondence only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the shop for us, each only for that job:
- Stripe: card payments.
- Prodigi: printing, framing and delivering your order (your name, delivery address and gift note).
- Supabase: the secure database that holds order records.
- Vercel: hosting the websites.
- Resend: sending order emails.
- Sentry: error reports when the website goes wrong (set up not to collect personal details).
None of them may use your data for their own marketing. We never sell your data.
Cookies
We use no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. The only cookies are the ones the site needs to work (for example keeping our own staff signed in). If that ever changes, this page and a consent banner come first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted (except records we must keep for tax), or object to how we use it. Email hello@momentsofscotland.com. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We update this page whenever what we collect or how we use it changes.
