Edward VII Statue, Aberdeen
Edward VII Statue, Aberdeen fine art print: a Bower Bird original, giclée printed on heavy matte fine art paper.
King Edward VII stands at the corner of Union Street and Union Terrace in Aberdeen, where he was unveiled on the last day of October 1914. Alfred Drury designed the figure in white granite, in the robes of the Garter with a bronze sceptre and orb, and set it on a great granite pedestal with bronze figures seated around its base. I collected him in autumn, with the trees beside him turning. In the print he stands against a violet and teal sky, the stone warmed to amber, everything drawn in heavy ink and flat bold colour. Edward VII Statue is part of the Aberdeen Collection and the Granite Cities series. Printed to order on heavy matte fine art paper, A3 to A1, and shipped worldwide.
